Public benefits

The direct benefits are improved social cohesion in the area; the general sense of community for performers and audiences and a bit of fun for all involved. This can be demonstrated by attendance at any of our rehearsals or performances. There is no harm arising from the purposes. The beneficiaries are the entire local community. Director and

occasionally guest actors receive an honorarium. It is both incidental and necessary.

Charitable purposes

The Society is established to bring together people of all ages and creeds from the community to prepare and perform plays for the benefit of the residents in the Poyntzpass area (hereinafter described as the area of benefit). Regardless of age, sex, race, political, religious or other opinion, the society will encourage those who have never been involved in a dramatic society, raise awareness of arts and drama within the community, enhance the sociability of the community through membership and performance, and improve community relations and social cohesion through participation and performances.
