Public benefits

The overarching purpose is to revive the Irish language so that it is more commonly used in Ireland. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include increased service and support provision for Irish speakers, and increased opportunities to use and learn the language. These benefits will be demonstrated through national census figures

highlighting trends in language users and Education enrolment figures in Irish Medium Schools, with ultimately more people being afforded equal opportunities to access and use the language as they wish. This purpose may lead to no harm The charity’s beneficiaries are the Irish language community in Ireland and abroad, as well as all members of all communities who wish to avail of the charities services. A private benefit to trustees and other related parties may arise from our programme of ongoing capacity training in good governance, management skills etc. Through this training trustees gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. These benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries
