Public benefits

The benefits that flow from Smallfry Community Playgroup are: the advancement of pre-school education fro children 3-5year old and the promotion and preservation of the health and well being of our children/ parents/ staff and the volunteers of the playgroup. Smallfry supports the values and principles of Early Years the organisation for young

children and the benefits of the purposes can be demonstrated through the quality of provision provided through the Northern Ireland pre-school curriculum. There is no harm arising from the benefits of the organisation. The beneficiaries of Smallfry are children/parents/staff/ students and volunteers. The only private benefit flowing from the organisations purposes is that staff are paid a salary which is incidental and necessary to achieve the purpose of the playgroup.

What your organisation does

We provide high quality pre-school care and education in partnership with parents to children following the Northern Ireland Pre-school curriculum. We offer equality of opportunity to all children and families within our setting and show mutual respect tolerance and understanding at all times. Smallfry Community Playgroup aims to create an

atmosphere were all children feel secure and valued as individuals and is encouraged in their learning and development in a healthy safe environment. All staff are committed to creating an environment of care and trust were children are happy and confident and are learning to be considerate of others and to share and co-operate. Pastoral care provision is developed and integrated in each of the policies that we have developed. We believe that the physical and emotional well-being of each child is a vital part of the whole ethos of the playgroup. We strive to enhance each child’s whole development.

Charitable purposes

The group was established to promote play based environments for all children under statutory school age, (hereinafter referred to as the beneficiaries) of the area of Maguiresbridge and its surrounding environs in Co.Fermanagh. (here in after called the ‘area of benefit’) without distinction of age, gender, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and in particular: to advance the education of the beneficiaries by the provision of safe and satisfying group play, with the right of the parents/carers to take responsibility for and to become involved in the activities of the group and to promote the preservation of health of the beneficiaries; and (b) to support the values and principles of Early Years.
