Public benefits
An Grúpa Tuismitheoirí agus Tachráin works to support those families in the locality who are raising their families through the medium of Irish. Also the group aims to introduce Irish to those who may be less familiar with it. The group works to do this while ensuring that the toddlers are active through play and are in a positive and safe
environment. Finally, the group aims to ensure the parents gain supportive and positive company weekly. These benefits can be demonstrated as the group is attended by up to 20 families weekly. The group has been operating successfully since January 2011. An Grúpa Tuismitheoirí agus Tachráin can not identify any harm which arises from these purposes. The group's beneficiaries are those parents and toddlers who attend. In addition, it is hoped that the local Irish medium pre-school, Naiscoil Uachtar Tíre will be considered as a potential option by parents who attend the group. Finally, the volunteers who are involved in the committee and who manage the group each week obtain positive social interaction and friendship from the group and valuable work experience. The group can not identify any private benefit flowing from the purposes.
