Public benefits

The direct benefits which flow from our purpose is the relief of suffering and distress of unwanted, stray or vulnerable animals who are in need of rescue, care and attention by the provision of a rescue and rehoming centre and providing permanent and temporary accommodation for such animals, improving awareness and education relating to all

aspects of animal welfare and care and promoting volunteering from the general public. These benefits are demonstrated by the reduction in unwanted, neglected, abused and vulnerable animals and the successful rehoming of animals through the sanctuary from throughout Northern Ireland. These benefits also include a reduction in the number of animals placed in local council pounds and subsequently unnecessarily destroyed. Benefit includes the promotion of animal welfare through education, promotion and volunteering opportunities. None of our purposes give rise to any harm. The beneficiaries of these purposes are the general public throughout Northern Ireland. There is no private benefit flowing from any of our purposes.

What your organisation does

Provides a safe refuge for stray, unwanted, neglected and vulnerable animals until they find a secure home for life; fully medical attention is given and all homes are fully vetted. We provide volunteering opportunities for the general public while promoting animal welfare. Educational and promotion of animal welfare related issues.
