Public benefits

The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include improved childcare and play experiences for school age children and affordable registered childcare which allows working mums/ families to return to work or study. School facilities will be used by the community in holiday periods when they would otherwise be left unused. These benefits are

evidenced through responses to consultation exercises and surveys carried out with the school family population and as outlined by DE and PlayboardNI in their supporting guidance. There are no identifiable elements of harm or risk to families who engage with our school age childcare. The charity’s beneficiaries are people living in the Swatragh/ Maghera/ Slaughtneil/ Craigavole districts who have a need for social services registered school aged child care at affordable rates. The community will benefit from the school facilities after school and during holiday periods. There is no private benefit flowing from this purpose.
