Allowing children to avail of an education based setting in their local community to make friendships and develop skills needed for formal education in Primary School. Promoting understanding and diversity and facilitating independence and development of key personal skills. It is clear that the setting in making an impact on the local community as

we have large numbers looking to use it and all of these children will then move on to Primary School together in the local community. Also from inspection reports, pupil reports and parental feedback. No harm arises from the purposes. Children aged 3-4 and their families as well as staff who are employed from the local community. No private benefit arises.

What your organisation does

The Group follows the Pre-school Curricular Guidance document, this ensures that we follow the curriculum to ensure each child receives a stimulating and challenging environment through the use of natural materials, developing creativity through junk art, cooking, music and movement, role play, physical play, promoting fine and gross motor skills,

promoting the love of stories and books, using a wide range of materials for writing and drawing and physical play.

Charitable purposes

The Group is established to promote play based learning environments for all children under statutory school age. (hereinafter referred to as the beneficiaries) of the Southern and its surrounding environs in County Armagh. (hereinafter called the ‘area of benefit’) without distinction of age, gender, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, political or religious belief, by associating the statutory authorities, community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and in particular: a). to advance the education of the beneficiaries by the provision of safe and satisfying group play, with the right of parents/carers to take responsibility for and to become involved in activities of the group; and to promote the preservation of health of the beneficiaries; and b) to support the values and principle of Early Years.
