Public benefits

Coleraine Music Festival Association considers the festival a platform on which we enhance the confidence of each participant. The advancement of education and encouragement in a love of literature and music we consider beneficial to our Society. Indeed, this is very obvious by the increase year on year of the number of school entries. They are

learning and experiencing skills which will aid their development both in and out of the school environment. Incidental benefits perhaps, but even the volunteers find their lives enriched by the festival activities they carry out in preparation for and during our festival. There is usually an increase in profits to local businesses, who by fortune of location and or contribution by advertisement in the festival programme, find their footfall and profits increased. There is no harm arising from any part of our purposes. The main beneficiaries are the young people and adults who take part. No financial benefit arises to anyone. There are no private benefits arising to any of the trustees, members or volunteers involved in the organisation of our Festival.

What your organisation does

Each year we promote Coleraine Music Festival which is a competitive festival of speech and drama and music for both young people and adults. Their performances are adjudicated by experts and they are marked for their performance and given feedback and advice for improvement.
