Public benefits

Purpose 1: The advancement of the Christian faith through supporting and assisting young people in need and their families and carers, irrespective of their religion or culture. The benefits that flow from this purpose is the young people having a positive view of themselves and others, finding purpose and meaning in their lives. Reducing harmful

behaviours by developing different ways of coping with stressful life situations including coming to terms with past situations, learning to forgive and let go of the past and reconciliation with family members when appropriate. Purpose 2: To promote the care, upbringing, emotional and spiritual development and establishment in life of young people in need. The benefits that flow from this purpose are increased confidence and self-efficacy in all areas of functioning in life skills needed for transition to adulthood, increased self- awareness and their purpose in life, increased social inclusion, developing vocational skills and gaining employment, increased participation in their communities. Purpose 3: Provision of residential care and/or supported housing in a family type environment to young people in need. (When we state residential care and/or supported housing this refers to community living where the young people live with volunteers 24/7 in a shared community family type environment.) The benefits that flow from this purpose are helping young people develop and grow in a loving environment showing God’s love in practical ways. Identity becomes one that is loved not unlovable, increasing feelings of hope from feelings of hopelessness, transformation of character developing Godly values and traits, helping them reach their potential in their relationships within their communities resulting in them making positive contributions in their communities. Purpose 1 These benefits are demonstrated by feedback received from young people and their families. Evaluations from volunteers and team leaders working with beneficiaries. Feedback from other organisations connected with beneficiaries. Reduction in incident records. Purpose 2 These benefits are demonstrated by increase in activity levels shown through daily records and changes in daily routines. Support plans and young people goals and progress reviews, daily living skills checklist reviewed on regular basis. Spiritual growth seen by others and the young people. Purpose 3. These benefits can be demonstrated by feedback from beneficiaries and their families. Skills checklists. Feedback from volunteers living with the young people and other agencies involved with the young people like social services. Involvement in their communities e.g. volunteering and feedback from the community. There is no harm flowing from any of our purposes Where reference is made to young people this goes from 14 up to 25 year olds regardless of their beliefs and backgrounds (this is the age limit a young person can enter our service but there is no age limit to when a service ends other than there being no need for the service.) those who have suffered from abusive or traumatic backgrounds. We also work with their families when appropriate. There is no private benefits from any of the purposes as the activities are delivered to those most in need.

What your organisation does

Aimee’s Hope provides services to young people aged 14-25 who have been in the care system, or who have had traumatic/abusive backgrounds. It provides a variety of services including accommodation, drop in and befriending services. Aimee’s Hope has a Christian ethos and will show God’s love for these young people in practical ways, providing an

environment where they will feel safe and can learn not only to respect and love themselves but also to respect and love others.Aimee's Hope will also run intercession groups praying for the family and young people in our nation and offer prayer support to young people and their families.

Charitable purposes

To advance the Christian faith, in accordance with the Statement of Faith and Ethos appendixed hereto as schedule 1, and to promote the care, upbringing, emotional and spiritual development and establishment in life of young people within Northern Ireland (hereinafter called the “area of benefit”) by supporting and assisting young people in need, their families and carers, irrespective of their religion or culture, providing homes and/or other types of accommodation in a family type environment to young people in need of such residential facilities.
