Public benefits
Purpose 1: The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include; improved relationships between home and school and increased confidence of staff, parents and others which has a positive impact on the educational achievements of a child. Purpose 2: Friends of Bready Jubilee works towards two broad functions, Communication and Fundraising, both
of which is the primary objective of furthering the educational, social and general opportunities of all the children at Bready Jubilee Primary School, by laying a strong foundation for a better society for everyone. The committee members are usually also parents at the school which their children attend and hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries. Purpose 3: The benefit which flows from this purpose is the provision of much needed funding for additional resources for a rural school with limited resources which increases confidence and has educational benefits. This is demonstrated through having an active PTA that works in partnership with the school and engages parental support. These benefits can be evidenced in the following ways; verbal feedback from participants (pupils, school staff, parents), increased participation from parents and wider school community in events and activities and educational outcomes. We do not anticipate any harm flowing from the purposes of the charity. The pupils of Bready Jubilee Primary School, the staff, the parents and wider school community. No. The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is that a trustee will gain valuable skills, confidence and knowledge through our education programmes and social activities including developing committee skills. These skills are transferrable to other settings. The benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to our beneficiaries.
What your organisation does
The committee is made up from parents/guardians and teachers from our community. The AGM, which is held each September, is open to all and committee members are elected at this meeting. The elected committee meets at least 3 times throughout the year to organise a variety of fundraising and social events, which include the wider community. The
committee is grateful for the additional help, skills and support of other parents, teachers and members of our community who assist us to run these events. All funds raised are used to purchase much needed resources for our school and for the benefit of the pupils.
