Public benefits
The direct benefits flowing from our organisation's purposes are the increased availability of funds for promoting the study, practice and knowledge of the art of music in Northern Ireland or elsewhere, in particular by assisting the Ulster Orchestra to fulfil its purposes, leading to the enhancement of the musical appreciation and understanding
of all those attending or participating in the Orchestra's activities, and the improvement of the musical skills of those attending the Orchestra's workshops and educational programmes. The benefits can be demonstrated by feedback from those attending or participating in the activities described above and regular evaluation of each of the Ulster Orchestra's programmes. There is no harm arising from any of the charity's purposes. The charity's beneficiaries are the general public in Northern Ireland. There is no private benefit flowing from any of the charity's purposes.
What your organisation does
The Company will commence its activities when it has been registered with the Commission. The Directors intend to carry out the purposes of the Company by seeking funds from trusts, foundations, corporate sponsors and individual donors and applying those funds towards the support of the charitable activities of the Ulster Orchestra, Northern
Ireland's only full-time professional orchestra. Should the Ulster Orchestra ever cease to exist or become unable to fulfil the Company's objects, the funds would be used for the advancement of the Company's objects, and in particular the study, practice and knowledge of the art of music in Northern Ireland, in whatever ways were appropriate in the circumstances existing at that time.
