Public benefits

The direct benefits flowing from this purpose include raising awareness of age appropriate play based learning among parents/carers and the provision of early education for children under the statutory school age in the Omagh District area and surrounding environments in County Tyrone. The Playgroups purpose will benefit the public by providing

play based learning environments in which children can learn and develop in each of the areas of the early years curriculum and have opportunities to reach their full potential. These benefits can be demonstrated by feedback from parents/carers, Early Years advisors and regular evaluation of the service by Social Services. This purpose does not lead to any harm as the Playgroup takes extensive steps to ensure that risk assessments are carried out fully and that robust Policies and Procedures are in place and adhered to. The beneficiaries of the purpose are children under the statutory school age living in Omagh District area and surrounding environments in County Tyrone. A private benefit to staff does arise in the form of salaries and training received, but these benefits are incidental and necessary to ensure that high standards of care are achieved.
