Public benefits
The direct benefits that emanate from the purposes is the provision of wheelchairs for patients discharged from hospitals which in turn reduces isolation and thereby improves the quality of life for people with limited mobility and helps ease the strain on families who care for a relative with a disability. Due to cutbacks made by the NHS in
supplying patient mobility aids the demand for our wheelchairs has grown in recent years. Doctor's surgeries and social services are just a few of the groups seeking to avail of our wheelchairs. The value of Emergency Medical Care Mid Ulster's wheelchair loan service can be evidenced by these facts as records are kept on evaluation sheets held by Emergency Medical Care Mid Ulster. This data shows how essential it is for our organisation to continue running. The education of the public and school children in the need of Public Access Defibrillation or (PAD). This has become more prevalent in the last year or so and we as an organisation will provide this free of charge to any organisation that requires this. If the organisation or body requires to give a donation this is acceptable. There is no harm arising from any of the purposes. The general public are the charities beneficiaries. There is no private benefit from the purposes of our organisation as our wheelchairs are loaned out free of charge.
