Public benefits
The benefits that flow from the purposes of John White CC are first and foremost those associated with the Gospel. When people accept the Gospel there is a remarkable change in their character, citizenship, morality, family life, work ethic, and a desire to live according to biblical standards. Our Church seeks to cater for people of all ages and
offers spiritual and social interaction and events. We offer an alternative to young people hanging around street corners and getting involved in anti-social behaviour as well as seeking to steer young people away from the influences of paramilitary organisations. These benefits can be demonstrated through a changed and transformed life. Benefits are also demonstrated as people give positive feedback on how the church has helped them through its teaching, pastoral care, and input into their families in predominantly difficult times. Parents of the children in our uniformed organisations and Sunday School regularly express their appreciation of how their children are cared for and the enjoyment they get from attending. We believe that as people come through our church from childhood to adulthood they are better prepared to meet the challenges of life and better understand how to be good neighbours and citizens. There is no harm arising from the church's purposes. Our beneficiaries are our members, adherents, their families, those in our uniformed organisations and their families, and the general public for most of our weekly activities are available to non-members and anyone from the local community. There are no private benefits from the purposes of the Church.
What your organisation does
The Church has a number of services, open to the public, where Biblical doctrine is taught (Sunday morning worship and Tuesday morning fellowship hour). The members of the Church play their part in these services and different organisations for children and youth. Events are organised throughout the year whereby members of the public are invited
along (e.g. displays by our organisations). Our organisations run a weekly programme as well as youth events and camps for the young people. We carry out regular pastoral care visits to members of the congregation, their friends, leaders of our organisations, and people from the community when requested.
