Public benefits

Busy Bee Cross Community Playgroup’s purpose of the advancement of education provides a direct public benefit to pre-school children in Maghera and surrounding villages. The provision of our service enhances the knowledge and understanding of the children who attend our Playgroup. The pre-school year is a very important year for developing a

child’s lifelong love of learning by creating a stimulating and rewarding learning environment. The indirect public benefit extends to families of children who attend Playgroup. While Playgroup harnesses a child’s early learning potential, it is hoped this will benefit families as they will have children who will engage with education to ensure they receive an education which will benefit them in future with regards to securing meaningful employment. The wider benefit of the Playgroup’s work is a harmonious community as a community which learns together can live together. The benefits are evidenced through feedback from our Social Services inspections, our ETI inspections, parent questionnaires and the ongoing self evaluations of our setting and the ongoing observations and development of the children attending our setting. Our latest ETI inspection report issued in May 2016 stated: "Busy Bee Cross Community Playgroup has a high level of capacity for sustained improvement in the interest of all the learners" and "The quality and effectiveness of leadership, management and action to promote improvement is now very good". There is no harm in promoting and engaging children with Education. The Charity's beneficiaries are pre-school children and the wider community who benefit from children engaging with education. There is no private benefit flowing from our purpose of providing pre-school education.
