The direct benefits flowing from the purposes include: • Preparation for each child for Primary School • Development of children’s essential skills such as language, communication, problem solving, early mathematics, creativity, knowledge and understanding of the world around us, discovery, experimentation, exploration and physical

skills. • Parents/ carers’ greater understanding of importance of preschool learning and increase in support of their child. These benefits are evidenced through: • Regular evaluation by staff • Detailed records of observations of each child’s development written by staff which are used as the basis of reports which are shared with each child’s parents/ carers. • Parent interviews where there is a two – way sharing of information between staff and parents/ carers. • Parent questionnaires which gain the opinion of parents/ carers of various aspects of their child’s education and care. • The Voice of the Child which is recorded and shared with parents. • Staff support and supervision, • Leader Reports at committee meetings and Early Years Specialist reports. • 3 year development plan. • Inspections by ETI ( Education and Training Inspectorate) and NHSCT ( Social Services) • Record of staff training for CPD and evidence of implementation of knowledge gained. No harm arises from the purposes. The beneficiaries are children aged 2 years 10 months to statutory school age and their parents. All children have access to organisation regardless of gender, religion, culture and race No private benefit flows from the purposes.

Our organisation is managed by a parents committee elected annually - they are responsible for the implementation of the organisation's purposes and manage the business aspects - employment/payment of staff, fundraising, bill payments, funding applications, resource provision and staff development and training.

Charitable purposes

The Charity's objects ("Objects") are to promote play based learning environments for all children under statutory school age ( hereinafter referred to as the beneficiaries) in Coleraine and its environs (the "area of benefit") without distinction of gender, disability, nationality, culture, religious identity and in particular: A to advance the education of the beneficiaries by the provision of safe and satisfying group play, with the right of parents/carers to take responsibility for and become involved in the activities of the Charity; and B to promote the preservation of health of the beneficiaries; and C to support the values and principles of Early Years.
