The public benefit that flows from this purpose is: (i) the security and well-being of elderly people, (ii) professional dispensing of their medication, (iii) a balanced diet, (iv) relief from cooking, laundry and domestic chores, (v) spiritual and social stimulation. The benefit is evidenced by feedback from residents and their relatives, RQIA

inspection reports, Regulation 29 monthly reports, reports from the Director of Nursing to the Trustees and regular contact by the Trustees. There is no harm arising from this purpose. The charity's beneficiaries are elderly people especially such as belong to the "household of faith" (Gal 6:10). There is no private benefit flowing from this purpose.

What your organisation does

Faith House Eventide Home provides residential care for 31 residents and nursing care for 34 patients. Care is provided to the standard required by the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) who monitor standards by a series of announced and unannounced inspections annually. Residents have a choice of meals and special dietary

requirements are catered for. There is a weekly programme of spiritual, social and physical activities to stimulate the Residents. These include prayer and bible study, quizzes, board games, reminiscence therapy, talks from visiting missionaries, slide shows, bus trips etc.

Charitable purposes

The Trustees hold the Trust Property upon the trusts and to and for the uses intents and purposes hereinafter declared of and concerning the same that is to say UPON TRUST to permit the Trust property to be occupied and used for the care and comfort of and as a home or residence for elderly people in need of care and support especially such as belong to the "household of faith" (Gal. 6. 10) and in furtherance of this to maintain and keep the same in proper repair so far as funds available for such repair are from time to time received by the Trustees.
