Public benefits

The public benefit that flows from the purpose is the delivery of a wide range of services, programmes and events, which have been identified though community surveys, ongoing feedback from the residents and throughout delivery of our programmes and events. The direct benefits which flow from the purpose are the reduction of social isolation and

to improve the quality of life for those in need, by offering a range of programmes tailored to meet the needs of the community. Additionally empowering the community to come together, having their voice heard, providing the community with the opportunity to get involved in leadership roles increasing confidence and developing skills through training and engagement which will increase opportunities for employment and build the capacity of the residents within the Ballee area. The Beneficiaries are the residents from Ballee area, with any benefit incidental in terms of enhanced knowledge and building capacity. We have looked at each element of our organisation and we believe there is no risk of harm or potential harm.

What your organisation does

The Seven Towers Community Association offers a drop in community facility which provides a range of programmes for residents including a women’s health programme, children’s hip hop classes, training and education programmes, community events, community away days, and a walking group. We have also recently acquired 33 community allotments which

will provide the opportunity for the community to grow their own produce, host cook it projects and learn horticultural skills, providing opportunities for children and young people to learn about the environment. We also facilitate a range of community clean-ups engaging the local residents. Furthermore we also actively attend a range of interagency meetings with our voluntary, community and statutory partners this gives us an opportunity to identify local need, network, develop new programmes and showcase the current work of the group. In order to promote the work of the group we provide regular updates via our quarterly newsletter and with direct contact with all of our beneficiaries.

Charitable purposes

The Association is established for the advancement of community development and active citizenship, for the benefit of the inhabitants of Ballee and its environs.(hereinafter referred to as the "area of benefit") This will be achieved through the delivery of positive community events,provision of volunteering opportunities and through regular contact meeings with relevant statutory and voluntary bodies to improve the conditions of life for local people.
