Public benefits

The trustees believe that both our purposes satisfy both the elements of the public benefit requirement. a) Advance the education of the beneficiaries by the provision of safe and satisfying group play, with the right of parents/carers to take responsibility for and to become involved in the activities of the group, and to promote the preservation

of health. The benefits that flow from this purpose are an opportunity for children to develop independence through play, to give parents the opportunity to share thoughts with other parents to alleviate stress and anxiety improving mental health, to be able to participate in activities that would not otherwise be available in the Gortin area which is currently listed as an area deprived of services. To enable children to form friendships with other children in the local area, making the transition to pre-school less stressful. These benefits are evidenced through ongoing Surveymonkey questionnaires that are available to parents to provide feedback for continual improvement. The purpose of our charity may lead to the following harm that new beneficiaries may feel excluded from the group, we will endeavour to make everyone feel welcome and will monitor the groups performance on an ongoing basis. The charity’s benefits are provided for all children under statutory school age of the Gortin area of County Tyrone and the surrounding area. There is no private benefit flowing from this purpose. b) To support the values and principles of early years The benefits that flow from this purpose are that following a proven set of values such as: ‘Childhood - in its own right, Listening to children – and those who care for them, A strong voice for children Play, fun and creativity, Parents as first educators, Participation of children and families, Community involvement and development, Partnership Inclusion and diversity, Excellence and evidence-based innovation, Effective stewardship and governance, A professional, committed and recognised workforce, Valuing staff, members and their commitment’ That we are able to provide a high quality environment and manage in a way that is appropriate and effective. Have the necessary information available to keep us up to date with safe guarding issues, legislation, workshops, training and guidance within the early years sector. Contribute to the advancement of education for our volunteers through training. These benefits are evidenced through ongoing feedback from parents and Early Years and the successful continuance of our group. There is no harm associated with this purpose.
