Public benefits

The advancement of education The Foundation provides education and training programmes to assist individuals in applying for, securing and retaining employment. Our training programmes focus on Information Technology skills and also address qualities commonly sought by employers such as honesty and integrity, teamwork, perseverance and

communication skills. The direct benefits include: 1. Moral and intellectual development of individuals through participation in training and education programmes, and the provision of practical skills to be able to thrive in the world of work. 2. Improvement in the ability of individuals to present themselves to prospective employers through written work (CV's) and orally in presentation. 3. Improved sense of wellbeing and increased self-esteem of individuals as they develop new skills, capabilities and knowledge, ultimately equipping them to enter into employment. The advancement and promotion of human rights The Foundation seeks to raise awareness of, advance and promote the rights of unemployed young people who do not have the skills, education and confidence to make the transition into work easily. The benefits of this purpose are as noted under the advancement of education purpose above. The relief of hardship or disadvantage The Foundation seeks to relieve hardship or disadvantage through providing young people with the skills required in order to secure paid employment, and in so doing allow individuals an opportunity to break the cycle of poverty in which they find themselves. The benefits which flow from this purpose are the provision of opportunities for individual beneficiaries to generate income and provide for the physical and material needs of themselves and their families, resulting in a reduction of poverty which is to the benefit of communities and society as a whole. The advancement of community development The Foundation seeks to advance community development by reducing unemployment levels and consequently poverty. This in turn has a positive impact upon local communities, with potential benefits being: 1. Engagement of young people in positive activity which may reduce involvement in local gangs and other criminal activity. 2. Reduction of opportunities in areas of social and economic deprivation for the radicalization of youth. 3. Strengthening of the economic and social framework of local communities. The advancement of health and specifically the improvement of the holistic life of youth, individuals, the family unit and community The Foundation seeks to improve the quality of life and promote the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of individuals through the provision of training and employment opportunities. This is of direct benefit to individuals, resulting in a happier, healthier and more fulfilling lifestyle, and is also of wider benefit to such individual’s families and the local community. In respect of all of the above purposes: 1. Beneficiaries are primarily young people (aged between 18 and 32 years old) who live in areas of social and economic deprivation together with their families and their local community more generally. 2. Each of the above benefits will be demonstrated through the collection of primary data and receiving informal feedback from individual beneficiaries participating in our training and education programmes. 3. We do not anticipate that any harm will flow from any of the above purposes. 4. A private benefit may arise from carrying out the above purposes to Human Resource and Recruitment firms in the private sector with which we partner. Connecting beneficiaries to these organisations could be financially profitable to them as private businesses. We consider this benefit to be a necessary by-product of achieving our charitable purposes, and it’s also incidental in that it does not outweigh the charitable benefits provided to beneficiaries as noted above.

What your organisation does

We provide training in I.T. skills and portfolio skills, which are defined as the cluster of skills that youth can be trained in to help them apply for, interview for, secure and retain a first job. These portfolio skills, also referred to as "soft skills" provide youth with the confidence and ability to present themselves through written work

(CV's) and orally in presentation and the training includes a component of what employers are looking for once they get a job as well - the values that make a good employee from the employers perspective (telling the truth, teamwork, perseverance, positive communication etc). When the youth have undergone training we connect them with Human Resource and Recruitment firms in the private sector that understand the importance of helping the youth get work. These HR partners see this as a part of the social development matrix and they understand the vital importance of their role in this. We currently do this work in Moldova but are building partnerships with other organizations that are interested in youth employment and social impact.
