Public benefits

The direct benefit which flows from this purpose is the promotion of knowledge and learning which in turn encourages development of skills and understanding which promotes family life, community cohesion, new skills, talent and creativity and encourages employment through the establishment and maintaining of schools. These benefits are evidenced

by feedback from pupils of the school and their families, funders, accredited bodies e.g. ETI and the Department of Education. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. The beneficiaries of this purpose are the pupils who attend St Patrick’s Academy in Dungannon. A private benefit to trustees may arise as the trustees may be parents of pupils who attend the school and hence gain benefit in the same way as all other beneficiaries. This benefit is incidental and necessary to ensure the benefit is provided to all beneficiaries.
