Public benefits
The direct benefits which flow from purpose (1) include enhanced learning and educational opportunity for children and adults with learning difficulties. These benefits are evidenced through research published in peer reviewed journals and are illustrated in feedback from children and adults with learning difficulties, and their teachers and
parents. The beneficiaries of this purpose are children and adults with learning difficulties. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. Teachers who attend training gain new knowledge and skills, and this could be viewed as a private benefit, but it flows from and is a necessary consequence of carrying out the purposes of Primary Movement. The direct benefits which flow from purpose (2) include increased knowledge amongst the public of specific learning difficulties experienced by children and adults, and of approaches to ameliorating these learning difficulties. These benefits are evidenced by the level of interest and enquiries received from school principals, teachers and parents, and by the number of schools and teachers accessing Primary Movement training. The beneficiaries of this purpose are children and adults with learning difficulties, their families and educators, and the general public. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. There is no private benefit in this purpose.
What your organisation does
Primary Movement promotes early intervention through a specific movement approach, by delivering training courses and support for teachers working in nursery, primary and special schools. Following training, teachers can use the Primary Movement programme daily in the classroom with whole classes or small groups, or with individual children if
required. Background and research information about Primary Movement is available to the public, through various channels including research articles and the Primary Movement website.

Primary Movement is established (1) for the advancement of education by the provision of training and other facilities for those responsible for working with and educating children and adults with learning difficulties and (2) to advance the education of the public in relation to children and adults with learning difficulties.
