Public benefits
The direct benefits which flow from purpose (A) include providing opportunities for blind and visually impaired people to meet and take part in social activities including boccia, pottery, aromatherapy, music sessions etc thus promoting social inclusion and interaction thereby reducing the isolation. Club members gain valuable self-help techniques
which promotes independence, and thereby, enhancing the quality of life for blind and visually impaired people in the club. These benefits are demonstrated through feedback from participants and beneficiaries and by the level of uptake of services. There is no private benefit or harm. The direct benefits which flow from purpose (B) include the recruitment and training of sighted volunteers who will have demonstrated the relevant skills to carry out the objects of the club and act as sighted volunteers. These benefits are demonstrated through volunteers enabling the active participation of blind and visually impaired people in the club and through feedback from participants and beneficiaries and by the level of uptake of services. The direct benefits which flow from purpose (C) include working in partnership with any other organisation, statutory or voluntary having objects similar to those of the club. These benefits are demonstrated through the number of organisations the club works with.
