What your organisation does
The function of the charity is to interface with community groups to help them secure funding for the provision of creative arts projects to be delivered by the Talent Tribe, with the specific aim of addressing social issues such as improving relationships in areas of sectarian unrest. The talent tribe works with young people from ages 4 to 24.
Some of the projects will also be used to offer a potential career path to 16-24 year old NEETS (Not in Education, Employment or Training) in the creative industries. Further training for young people who have demonstrated sufficient potential will be offered through the provision of bursaries which will come from public funding and revenue generated by the agency. TheTalent Tribe will offer training and development in the creative industries through the provision of schools projects to primary and second level age young people, primarily on a paid-for basis but with some bursary support available for some of the participants. This training may be based on once a week sessions with a specific theme or focus and run over three terms of the academic year. Each project will have a finite life span of a predetermined number of weeks and participants may complete one or all terms. To establish a pool of skilled young people by using creative professionals to train them to a level that will ensure they are ‘industry ready’ To raise the profile of successful cross-company activity to date e.g. Colaiste Feirste To secure talented young people to join the academy To establish a commercial talent agency which represents industry professionals and offers a range of services to external organisations To continue to partner with community groups to provide bespoke training programmes to address issues of social importance To establish a network of public and private supporters advocates (and funders!) to ensure the longevity of the Talent Tribe
