Public benefits

Purpose – Advancement of Religion: The direct benefits that flow from this purpose include improved spiritual well-being, a healthier lifestyle and the adoption of a moral framework which encourages people to be good citizens. These benefits will be evidenced by people of all ages taking a positive role in society and increased involvement of

churches in their local communities. There is no identifiable harm in the pursuit of this purpose. The charity’s beneficiaries are adults, children, young people, churches and the general public. Purpose – Advancement of Amateur Sport: The benefits that flow from this purpose include coaches in several sports being better trained and equipped to develop the skills of teams and individual players, a safer sports environment and adults, children and young people developing a love of sport and being involved in regular physical activity. These benefits will be evidenced by higher standards of coaching and an increased number of people of all ages leading healthier and more active lifestyles. There is a risk of physical injury occurring during sporting activities but this is very rare and is far outweighed by the benefits listed above. The charity’s beneficiaries are churches, sports coaches, adults, children and young people, youth organisations, national sports associations and the public at large.
