Public benefits
The direct benefits which flow from are organisation reducing levels of stress and anxiety for parents/carers of children young people and adults with a disability we do this by providing a forum for their voices to be heard and to raise issues around health education and poverty. This in turn helps gain better outcomes and policies for parents
carers children and young people. examples of this is the training we carry out with parents that help to develop an understanding the roles and responsibility of all the professionals that they will encounter in there lives, this helps families to feel more confident in communicating with professionals it also helps to show them the support that is available to them from our Council and professionals These benefits are demonstrated through continual evaluation of all aspect of the work we carry out with parents and carers we have developed different ways of obtaining feedback for example questionnaires, verbal feedback we do this by meeting with groups of parents/ carers. We take all feedback to service providers and policy makers example of this guild lines were written and put in to practice for young people with disability going into hospital. As far as we are aware the information that we are providing is in is standard and up to date, we we work in partnership with policy makers and service providers for better outcomes for families so there is no foreseeable harm flowing from our purpose The beneficiaries are children and young people with disabilities and their families, parents and carers. The only potential private benefit arises as most of the volunteers and trustees are parents or carers of a young person or child that has disabilities. This is why they become involved as they realise the lack of support and assistance for families in their situation. There is no special treatment or additional benefits over and beyond those of a normal beneficiary for being a trustee but the trustees may also gain experience and benefit from new policies or outcomes of discussions in the same way as any other beneficiary may benefit. This is part and parcel of ensuring as many families with young people or children with disabilities have the opportunity to improve their conditions of life
