Public benefits
The Trustees are satisfied that the requirement is met. There are numerous direct benefits to the children primarily and also to parents; children are provided with a safe and secure environment in which to develop fully, each at their own individual pace under the guidance of a dedicated and caring workforce. Children play in a well planned
curriculum, the staff help the children attain and develop their social skills, encouraging independence and self-help skill. Language development is of paramount importance with the support of a speech therapist. The children have daily opportunities for outdoor play which in turn leads to improved physical skills. Parents learn about their children’s progress through termly meetings and they in turn offer feedback to the staff about the pre-school. The school is also inspected annually by Health and Social Services with a report published to the management committee. The school is inspected also by DENI and the published report given to all concerned. There is no harm arising from the purposes. There is some private benefit in that we provide employment to four workers and provide them with up to date training in areas such as, language development, child protection, and child development. These benefits are clearly incidental and necessary in fulfilling the purposes.
