Public benefits
The purpose of the charity can be summarised as being ‘to maintain the cultural and diverse needs of the Muslim families of the Craigavon council area, in particular by providing and maintaining community facilities and promoting good race relations’. The beneficiaries of this purpose are Muslim families; children and adults. The direct benefits
that flow to them from this purpose include the better maintenance of the Muslim culture in the area, the relief of unique needs amongst Muslim families, improved educational opportunities and the practical provision of facilities which improve the conditions of life of these families. Further benefits include improved relations between persons of different racial groups generally but particularly between racial groups professing the Muslim faith and all other inhabitants of the area; this improves the integration of Muslim people into society and improves citizenship. These benefits are evidenced through community feedback. There is no harm flowing from this purpose and neither is there any private benefit flowing to unintended beneficiaries.
