Public benefits
The beneficiaries’ physical and mental well-being will be improved The beneficiaries’ will benefit from free or subsidised access to health checks, counselling services, education and training Donations from fund-raising activities are made to educational and health related bodies. To demonstrate the benefits of the activities and events organized
by the Club, the attendees are asked to complete a questionnaire on completion of the activity/event. We report back to our funders on the outcomes of these activities and the feedback we receive from participants and funders is used to develop and improve future programmes. We never say ‘no’ to any man who comes to us looking for help or to take part in our activities whether he is a member of not. We are open to members and non-members and, although we are based in Lurgan, the beneficiaries come from the whole, wider Craigavon area. We are open to anyone, including those who do not reside in Craigavon, who wish to improve their health and well-being. Social Services and the Well-Being team refer men in need of help to us and we never turn them away. We have worked in intergenerational projects with the 18-25 Group in Craigavon, passing on our life experiences to the young people of the area. There is no harm flowing from our activities. We are monitored by our funders and Social Services to ensure this is the case. Activities such as Circuit Training are taken by fully qualified physical training instructors, swimming lessons are taken by qualified swimming instructors etc.
