Public benefits

The public benefit of the charity extends beyond the doors of the house of hope. The benefit for the children in Moldova is seen in the living conditions in the House, and through opportunity to education. The charity encourages and extends the opportunity of further education to all children. It is proactive in supporting the local schools with

educational equipment. The local economy in Moldova is also a beneficiary by the employment of 22 local people in the daily life of the house of hope. All foodstuff and equipment is purchased locally, encouraging growth in the economy of Transdnestria. Our public benefit is also seen through our " affordable living " shops. Our 5 shops situated throughout Northern Ireland are staffed by volunteers from within the local community and our stock is donated and resourced from within the locality. Much of our stock would have found its way into the landfill sites. Our second hand furniture and used clothing is not only our main source of income but provides affordable furniture to many The above benefits are demonstrated through.... 1) Improvement in living conditions for many. 2) Boost to the local economy 3) Opportunities being provided for higher education No harm flows from the purposes of our charity as far as I can see. There is no private benefit flowing from the purposes of our charity.

What your organisation does

We own and maintain House of Hope orphanage, providing a home and education for vulnerable children. Also providing further education programme to enable children to make a change and further themselves in future. We also provide food and fuel for vulnerable for families in Glenoye village.
