Public benefits
The club members in the Lurgan and Banbridge area including volunteers benefit from the purpose. The direct benefit from the purpose is improvement in health and mental wellbeing to blind and visually impaired people. The members provide feedback on how the club helps them with physical exercise and interacting with members of the public.
There is no private benefit or harm to anyone, member or otherwise.

Our association was set up to assist in providing recreational facilities. To provide social and mental stimulation. To assist organisations with research into sight problems. To recruit and train volunteers to the standard required for our members.

Charitable purposes
The Association is established to provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation of blind and partially sighted people (hereinafter called "the beneficiaries") in the Banbridge/Craigavon area (hereinafter called "the area of benefit") with the objects of improving the conditions of life for the said beneficiaries and in particular, but not limited, to: (a) the provision of holidays, social welfare, recreational or educational facilities.
