What your organisation does
Boho Community Association was established in 1992 in the rural community of townlands centered on the boho area, with members of association being drawn from throughout the community living in this area. The most significant work of the association has been acquiring a site and securing the funds to convert a disused national school into a
purpose built community facility including a multi purpose hall and playgroup area, known as boho community centre. This centre opened in 1999 and since then has been very well used by members of the local community and visitors to the area for a range of education, social and recreational activities. The group also in recent years secured funds form the DSD moderisation scheme to modernize the community centre by adding a kitchen and activity/meeting room. Many activities are organised by the association, linking with other statutory organisations and voluntary organisations such as Boho Heritage Association, Boho Womens Group and Bo-peeps Playgroup.
