Public benefits

The direct benefit that flows from this purpose is to encourage better conditions of life by providing recreational and other leisure activities. This is achieved by the group promoting awareness and appreciation of community arts and crafts. Providing opportunities to try and develop new skills such as sewing, crochet, painting and ceramics. A

socially inclusive approach helps to encourage people out of isolation and to build meaningful relationships. The activities build self-confidence, self-esteem and give a sense of purpose; this enables participants to feel included, reduces isolation and gives them a sense of belonging. These benefits will be evidenced through feedback from members and beneficiaries, monitoring and evaluations forms. We do not believe that these benefits will lead to any identified harm. The charities beneficiaries are residents who reside in the district of Castlereagh and Lisburn.
