Public Benefit The public benefits that flow from the Trust’s charitable purposes are:- (a) (i) The provision of a safe and stimulating environment for children, assisting each child to develop their capabilities, competencies and understanding to their full potential, resulting in improved learning outcomes, personal development, social
integration and emotional well-being. (ii) Early identification and support of children with special or additional needs. (iii) Increased capacity, knowledge and skills of parents, resulting in enhanced care and healthy development of their children. These benefits can be evidenced by feedback from parents, by the detailed observations and assessments carried out by staff and from evaluations of the work and impact of the Trust. The beneficiaries are primary school children and their parents and carers. No harm or private benefit arises from this purpose. (b) (i) Enhanced knowledge and understanding of important issues facing society and increased educational attainment and capabilities among the general public. (ii) The acquisition of practical and transferable skills. These benefits can be evidenced by feedback from the participants and from evaluations of the work and impact of the Trust. The beneficiaries are the general public. No harm or private benefit arises from this purpose. (c) Reduction in social isolation, stress and anxiety and a consequent improvement in health and emotional well-being. These benefits can be evidenced by feedback from the participants and from evaluations of the work and impact of the Trust. The beneficiaries are members of the general public who are in need. No harm or private benefit arises from this purpose. (d) (i) Greater social cohesion, a reduction in tension and conflict between people from different religious, racial, ethnic or other backgrounds. (ii) The development of positive citizenship as a result of raised awareness and understanding and a shared sense of purpose. (iii) Increased opportunities to engage in new and interesting activities that bring people together. These benefits can be evidenced by feedback from the participants and the findings of social attitude and community surveys. The beneficiaries are the general public. No harm or private benefit arises from this purpose.
What your organisation does
Camowen Partnership provides many services to the local community, these include: - work experience opportunities - internet access and support - photocopying, printing and laminating facilities - we provide information regarding funding, grants and other local interests - we offer a signposting services for grants, benefit and any other request
a person of our community may have. - Camowen Partnership also manages and operates two out of school clubs for school age children 4-12 years old, this service operates all year around, offering full day care during holiday periods. - We run and manage a Parent and Toddler & Baby group and in conjunction with this service we offer parenting programmes, baby programmes and health and well-being information sessions. - Camowen Partnership also works closely with another local community group 'Camowen Farmers Combined' to provide basic computer classes to a wide range of the community, these classes are extremely successful. - We also provide one to one mentoring and support for individuals who have no IT knowledge.
