The direct benefits which flow from purpose 2 will be the

raising of awareness and appreciation of the historical and contemporary significance of the indigenous languages of Ulster. This will be demonstrated by helping Turas to offer a wider range of classes and activities. The direct benefits which flow from purpose 3 will be the encouragement and facilitation of cross-community respect and reconciliation in East Belfast. This will be demonstrated by increased participation in the classes offered and events organised. The charity's beneficiaries will be those attending the classes and activities of Turas, the people of East Belfast and the wider community of Northern Ireland. There is no private benefit or harm.

What your organisation does

We were set up to be a fund-raising organisation to assist the work of Turas. We will do this through holding sponsored events and applying for grants which are not available to Turas through its connection to East Belfast Mission. We will also encourage Turas participants to become more involved in the running and organisation of Turas.
