In Relation To Community Development the public benefit of BCA is the improved community life through the recreation facilities which we maintain and provide for use by the local community, by organising and facilitating a variety of social functions at our premises, we enable all sections of our community to socialise together and reduce the

potential problems of isolation in rural communities Boveedy Community Association provide a community centre for benefit of all local inhabitants, from, parents/ tots, youth groups though to senior citizen groups, the benefits can be measured by the success of our events and feedback either verbal or written In Relation To Advancement of Health, the public benefit is the improved knowledge and understanding we provide to groups who attend classes we provide in classes as varied as first aid, healthy eating / cooking and health and well-being advice. All of the above can help the well being of the local inhabitants and the benefits can be measured by the success of our events and feedback either verbal or written In relation to reducing poverty and enabling access to education we can provide training and access for members of the public to a wide range of classes from social and hobby activities to literacy and numeracy. We can provide a venue for all type of training and talks to take place in relation to benefits, health and well-being and employability related skills. The public benefit is an increased access to information and courses which can open doors to new skills and better information to improve life chances and job prospects. We are an open organisation welcoming people of all ages and from all backgrounds who are interested in volunteering with us. Our beneficiaries are the members of the public who are rural dwellers of all ages from the local area. They are also our volunteers who can gain skills and confidence while providing of their time and expertise. There are no private benefits or potential harm from any of these objectives

What your organisation does

Boveedy Community Association has been able through funding from a range of funders to transform an old Orange Hall into a comfortable, accessible community hall with modern facilities where we organise a range of different types of training and educational activities as well as talks and road shows from different agencies. Other organisations

can also hire the hall to run a range of different types of social, educational and health initiatives within this very rural area.

Charitable purposes

The BCA is established to promote rural regeneration for the benefit of the public to relieve poverty, unemployment, youth and the aged and promote the protection and preservation of health of and to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Boveedy and its environs of Co Londonderry (hereinafter called the area of benefit) by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants and: To maintain and manage or cooperate with any local authority in the maintenance of a centre at 22 Boveedy Road Kilrea for activities promoted by the BCA (hereinafter called "the centre")
