Public benefits

1).To provide a forum for young people to raise matters that concern them with the relevant authorities and to formally consult with such authorities on issues relevant to them. The benefits that flow from purpose one include giving a voice to the children and young people in an area of deprivation and giving them opportunities that they would not

have without the existence of the Dunclug Youth Forum . The benefits are evidenced by the past and present work within the ward of Dunclug and also the wider community. 2. To encourage and enable young people to participate in democratic decision making processes and activities that promote education for the responsibilities of citizenship. The benefits that flow from this purpose is that young people are becoming more vocal about experiences and have been eager to take part in more cross community ventures, such as The Messines Trip which we ran a few years ago. 3. To provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving conditions for young people and the population in general. The benefits that flow from this purpose is the running of our youth club and trips, fun days etc. in a very deprived area.
