Public benefits
Bridge Transport provides and operates a demand led,on call transport service for physically disabled people who are unable to use conventional public or private transport in the Derry area. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include increased independence and social inclusion, improved quality of life, promotion of mental wellbeing,
together with increased opportunities to participate in the social, cultural, business and civic life of the community. This benefit is demonstrated through feedback from Bridge Transports 4286 members, who collectively benefit from 30'000 journeys per year.Bridge Transports Board of directors include representatives from local charities and some beneficiaries, and while they have an incidental benefit( on the same terms as all other beneficiaries) their inclusion on the Board insures we continue to accurately reflect the needs of beneficiaries at a grass root level. There is no private benefit arising which is not purely incidental to achieving the Charitable purpose.
