Public benefits

Purpose 1: The direct benefit which flows from this purpose includes alleviation of poverty and improving conditions of education, health and wellbeing and family life which in turn alleviates feelings of stress and social isolation. Purpose 2: The direct benefit which flows from this purpose includes alleviation of stress and hardship promoting

feeling of individual health and wellbeing and family life which in turn promotes personal development and experiences in a positive way. Purpose 3: The direct benefit which flows from this purpose includes increased skills and knowledge, vocational opportunities and employment opportunities which in turn promotes personal development, education and experiences and provides more opportunities for employment. Benefits are evidenced through feedback from beneficiaries, other charities and stakeholders who form part of projects. This purpose does not give rise to any harm. The beneficiaries of these purposes are those people living in the UK, Ireland and internationally for example, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Gambia and Uganda and young offenders and prisoners in the UK and Ireland. A private benefit to trustees may arise from an ongoing programme of training and good governance and finance etc. Through this training trustees may gain skills and experience which are transferable to other settings. These skills are incidental and necessary to ensure that the benefit is provided to the beneficiaries.

What your organisation does

The trust organises event fundraising and accepts donations to help beneficiaries in NI, UK and internationally. It helps other charities and Rotary Charities with funding e.g. Rotary Foundation - API Fund, Salvation Army and Ulster Cancer Foundation. A list outlining those other charities helped by this trust are attached as supplementary

documentation to illustrate the activities. The trust also assist Jole Rider. This involves collecting bikes (also a lot of bikes are donated) which are then fixed by prisoners and shipped internationally to poorer or developing countries. Those better bikes donated are sold locally and the money reverts back to the trust. The trust does fundraise for specific projects e.g. equipment of schools or emergency overseas aid.
