CRI believe in the education of children and adults to help them understand the importance of recycling and by doing this reduce the tonnage of waste going to landfill. CRI works with local school and community to help children understand the need and important of recycling, we do this education and also given money to the organisation for their

support in recycling of goods. By taking waste away from landfill if helps reduce the carbon footprint of NI. Each week CRI on average recycles 25 tons of good that a total of 1,300 tons a year. This clothing is sold to other parts of the world, who then sell or give it to those in need the only harm is this this may have a negative effect on their local new cloths retails. CRI gives cloths and other good donated to them to the local community of Dungclug this is done free of charge and main though their connections with SVP. Each year CRI donates the value of 5k to the local people used clothing. CRI supports training and workplace for the long term unemployed. CRI offer 6 training positions each year to unemployed people living in the greater Dunclug area.

We do this; by recycling clothing (1300 tons a year) collected from local charities and community organisations from across NI, We work with local school and young people to try to educate them in recycling, we provide training placements We also donate surplus to the local community groups in the greater Dunclug area of Ballymena and other wider

charities in NI over the last two years this has been approx: £28,000

Charitable purposes

The objects of the company shall be (a)The advancement of education in respect of environment, aspects and need for recycling in the community (b) The protection and preservation of environment, in particular through promoting recycling and re use of clothes and other household goods; (c) The relief of poverty through the provision of clothes and other goods to those persons resident in Dunclug area of Ballymena and its environs (the “area of benefit”) who have need of such items be reason of their necessitous circumstances (d) To assist the long-term unemployed and others in the area of benefit by the provision of training in vocational and social skills with a view to increasing skill levels and employability on the part of trainees
