Public benefits

The purpose of the choir is to promote and enhance choral music by the members for enjoyment and by participating in competitions, festivals and concert tours. The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include a sense of well-being to those who are part of the choir, the great bond of friendship that has resulted in being part of the choir.

A sense of purpose and the resultant increase in self-esteem and confidence that the ladies have secured as a result of taking part in competitions and concerts all over the world as well as locally. These benefits can be demonstrated by the long standing commitment of the ladies some of whom have attended the choir for over 40 years. The esteem the choir is held by the public as a professional and disciplined choir of long standing. The beneficiaries are the individual members of the choir as well as the general public who attend our performances. Our local city as the aldies of the choir regard ourselves as ambassadors of our city and do all we can to promote our town. The choir believes there is no harm flowing from their purpose. No individual member of the choir receives any private benefit from such events.

What your organisation does

Our choir musical director provides teaching of music to all new members. We are also a interdenominational choir with members from both sides of the communities. We meet on a regular basis for rehearsals and actively recruit new members to introduce them to the joy and benefits of choral music. The choir has developed a strong team working ethic

and friendship bond over the years.
