Public benefits

Castle Gardens Primary School PTA is established to promote the benefit of pupils within Castle Gardens Primary School by holding fundraising events to raise money for equipment, and to pay for transport for school day outings which the pupils would otherwise have to pay for themselves. This provides opportunities which the children would otherwise

not be able to access themselves. We provide support and encouragement to pupils, staff and parents to be involved in school fundraising events in a familiar safe environment. We create a sense of community through our efforts with school fairs, quizzes, barbeques, bag packing at local supermarkets and fashion shows which all raise vital funds and involve the whole school community. The benefits are demonstrated by positive oral feedback from local residents at fundraising events. There would be no harm from the purposes. Private benefit would be gained from PTA members and charity trustees gaining skills from events - safe food handling at the summer BBQ, ability to organise events etc, and qualifications (eg child protection certificate)

What your organisation does

The organisation directly benefits the pupils of Castle Gardens Primary School by fundraising for equipment to be used within the school. Last year our funds were spent on outdoor playground climbing frame and similar equipment. This financial year we are fundraising for ipads.
