The public benefit statement: Provide opportunities for retired persons to serve in the community in accordance with their ability and inclination, the group will promote the interests of retired persons socially, culturally and economically. The object of the group is to further the objects of the group particularly in the neighbourhood of

Carryduff. The direct benefits which flow from these purposes includes reduced social isolation to due to participation, promotion of an inclusive and intergenerational society in Carryduff for older people and reduced rural deprivation. This benefits are demonstrated through continued regular attendance of beneficiaries. There is no harm to our beneficiaries. Our beneficiaries are older people and we have no private benefit.

What your organisation does

The group meet in St. Ignatius Hall on a monthly basis, 9 times per year. Each month we either have a speaker, have a Beetle Drive, play Boccia or have a quiz. We usually have 3 seasonal outings which all members are invited to. We also attend any activities organised by Castlereagh Council or Castlereagh Lifestyle Forum such as: Tea Dances,

Concerts, Burns Night, Film Shows, Remembrance evenings, Women’s world day and any other activity that we are invited to like the multi-cultural events and visits to Indian Group, Carlisle Circus.

The Group is established for charitable purposes only, its principal objects being to: (a) provide opportunities for retired persons to serve the community in accordance with their ability inclination; (b) The Group will promote the interests of retired persons socially, culturally and economically; (c) The object of the group is to further the objects of the group particularly in the neighbourhood of Carryduff.
