Public benefits

The direct benefits which flow from purpose 1 include the promotion of active citizenship and community development; promotion of reconciliation, equality and diversity; enhanced intergenerational relations and capacity to address needs within the community; enhanced health and wellbeing as a result of reduction in social isolation. This can be

demonstrated by the number of events and activities planned and delivered, number of people participating, level of support from the community, general feedback and evaluations taken at events and activities, and community surveys. There is no harm associated. The Charity’s beneficiaries are those living or with an interest in the Cairncastle area. Any private benefit is incidental in terms of enhanced health and wellbeing. The direct benefits which flow from purpose 2 include promotion of active citizenship and community development, environmental improvements and protection and therefore enhanced health and wellbeing and capacity of local community to address issues such as dereliction, and improvement of village aesthetics. These can be demonstrated through activities delivered by our group to improve and protect the environment, general feedback, evaluations and/or surveys taken. There is no harm associated. The Charity’s beneficiaries are those living or with an interest in the Cairncastle area. Any private benefit is incidental in terms of enhanced health and wellbeing and capacity within the community and improvement to the village aesthetics and protection of the environment.

What your organisation does

General community development organisation based in a rural area. We organise events and activities such as fundraising, trips, training in heart start, link with other organisations. Lobby for improved services and facilities in the area.
