Public benefits
The charity works for the assistance of young persons/adolescents to create a loving, caring, dependable environment, which gives optimal opportunities for physical, emotional, spiritual, social and intellectual and development. Our intervention approach alleviates distress and offer assistance to young people/adolescents by empowering those
young persons through one-to-one and group work based practices to learn effective mechanisms for coping with stress; anger; change and rejection. In particular by the development of support systems within the community. We use a sport for development approach when working with young people to bring forward assistance in providing support, information and appropriate services and referral for treatment from professionals to enable such persons to receive immediate help. By supporting and befriending that person to make such use of timely and appropriate specialist health and social services. We promote the fostering of positive mental health and to improve the emotional wellbeing of young people/Adolescents residing in the area of benefit. We advance the education of the public (community) into, and raise awareness of, the causes and effects of youth wellbeing based issues and into matters relating to the nature of negative adolescent behaviour. The direct benefits that flow from this purpose is to improve health outcomes and reduced levels of stress and anxiety amongst children and young people. These benefits are evidenced through anecdotal feedback received from parents and the increased number of young people and sporting clubs using our service. Our service involves the provision of indoor sporting facilities. We provide wellbeing awareness raising and training for sporting coaches of, the causes and effects and into matters relating to the nature of negative adolescent behaviour.
