Public benefits

Purpose 1 The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include the provision of improved opportunities for people with a learning disability and support all those who have limited or no resources of their own. These benefits are demonstrated through detailed discussions with the service users themselves, working together to improve their

opportunities and getting verbal and written feedback at the end of each year. We do not see that our charity will lead to any harm for anybody or group of people. We only see benefits for those with a learning disability. The charity’s beneficiaries are those young people who have a learning disability who currently have limited opportunities. The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is self-satisfaction at helping those most in need and this is incidental and necessary because volunteers need to enjoy what they are doing and learn from the experience to share with others. Purpose 2 The direct benefits which flow from this purpose include the provision of improved opportunities for people with a learning disability plus encouraging and supporting all those who have limited or no resources of their own. These benefits are demonstrated through detailed discussions with the service users themselves, carers, professionals and working together to improve their opportunities and getting verbal and written feedback where and how best we can. We do not see that our charity will lead to any harm for anybody or group of people. We only see benefits for those with a learning disability. The charity’s beneficiaries are those young people who have a learning disability who currently have limited opportunities and facilities. The only private benefit flowing from this purpose is self-satisfaction at helping those most in need and this is incidental and necessary because volunteers need to enjoy what they are doing and learn from the experience to share with others.
