Public benefits

Spring is established to provide opportunities for young people and adults that are affected by deprivation and disadvantage in the West Armagh area to access recreational activities, support services and training programmes, empowering participants to progress in all aspects of their lives. Our services are developed based upon the needs of young

people and adults living in the area with the objective to offer some purpose in their life, improve confidence and self esteem levels, encourage community participation and active citizenship and enhance the education and employability of those people accessing the services. We provide services for the most deprived communities in the Armagh city area and therefore work with young people and adults that are often marginalised or disadvantaged in relation to educational provision, educational attainment, training opportunities and employment opportunities. Therefore we feel that our work is vitally important to engage with these young people and adults in the area and ensure that they are engaged and integrated into local community life with equal opportunities to access community services, training and employment opportunities. Spring also works in partnership with other community based organisations and statutory services to work for the overall betterment of people living in the West Armagh area and improve the quality of life experienced by all living in the area. There is no perceived harm or private benefit arising from the purpose of the organisation.
