Public benefits

The benefits which flow from our purpose is that any child can receive an excellent pre-school education, which will result in them becoming more confident, more knowledgeable and more sociable. We aim to prepare each child for primary school education, by encouraging them to identify problems, seek solutions, to communicate and express their

opinions with both peers and teachers. The playgroup aims to be beneficial and carries no harm. The beneficiaries are children from the local community aged between 2yrs 9months and 5 years, for whom there is a safe and secure learning environment. This facility is available to each and every child who meets the required guidelines, devised and approved by Early Years and Social Services. A private benefit for the members of the committee may arise through attendance at training, but this would be provided for the primary benefit of Tiny Tots. Tiny Tots Corner provides access to learning through play, with activities ranging from role play, arts and crafts, outdoor play, storytelling, rhyme time, singing and water and sand based learning. All of the activities undertaken are to develop, stimulate and improve each individual child as they progress through their time at playgroup. This development is assessed and recorded by staff and the feedback is communicated to parents, through several different channels. The Playgroup is subject to external inspections. The management committee hold organise several fund raising events throughout the year to support the finances of the playgroup and to provide additional resources for the beneficiaries.
