Public benefits
As we meet we try to work sure our older residents have the information they need to have a healthy and happier life. Our Forum encourage the groups to check on the older residents in their area and we are very active in ensuring they know all their rights re; pensions etc No harm or possibility of harm is outweighed by the benefit probably the
in the borough. opposite. The benefit is for all over 50s If we encourage them to join one of the many clubs and keep fit and healthy they will benefit and hopefully they will be less of a burden on our Dr's health service etc. Any benefit to our Trustees would be incidental. It would be training on keeping accounts minutes etc on organising club events Most of our clubs are run by volunteers and would only receive out of pocket expenses. No harm arises and any possibility of harm is outweighed by the public benefit.

To reflect the views and concerns, and to provide a voice for Coleraine's older residents; so to act as a forum to find acceptable solutions to problems, or to suggest areas of improvement, through networking and sharing ideas. To provide a consultation group for agencies whose activities impact on older people.
