Public benefits
Promote health and well-being and community participation in healthy recreation and amateur sport. The direct public benefit that flows from this purpose is improved community life through sports and recreation activities; also the wider benefit of a healthier population. Advance fitness, health & well-being and promote sort by
organising: (i) fitness classes; (ii) sporting tournaments and events. The benefits that arise from this purpose are enhanced fitness, a greater health and well-being for the area and a sense of appreciation for sports. Provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupations with the object of improving the conditions of life for residents in the area of benefit The benefits that flow from this are opportunities to engage in social activities that bring people together and an increased sense of well-being and fulfilment. These benefits can be evidenced through: (i) community and health and well-being surveys; (ii) records of the number of participants at sporting events; (iii) records of sectarian or racial friction or attacks. No harm or private gain arises from any of these purposes.

Charitable purposes
The Forum is established to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of North Down and its environs (hereinafter described as ‘the area of benefit’) without distinction of age, sex, race, political, religious or other opinion and in particular to promote amateur sport, community development and health and well-being by providing facilities and support to amateur sports clubs, associations or organisations and encouraging community participation in healthy recreational activities and events.
